His love for his family was unwavering, and they were always his top priority. Howard is survived by his children, Shan (Robert) Backus and Robin (Bill) McGaughy, as well as his siblings, Orville (Helen) Howard and Henry Howard.

Howard's professional career was marked by his dedication to education, where he worked for Orange County Public Schools and taught at Apopka Memorial Middle School. His love for teaching and mentoring will always be remembered by those who knew him.
